A Predictable cop story blended with emotions and twists
Theri – Directed by Atlee, this film is the director’s second outing and it hits the theaters today and with Vijay, Samantha, Amy Jackson and other big names on the cards the film has already grabbed huge attention. But this action venture hasn’t left any stones unturned. With the mesmerizing stunts and performance by the lead members in the team, the film stood up and has managed to grab huge attention among the movie lovers.
This film is a predictable cop story that is blended with revenge, emotions and actions. Though there are few flaws in the screenplay the first half of the film is engaging and keeps you on board. Also the film has a catchy interval that can blow you out. The second half of the film was a bit dragging and it deviates from the main plot.
Vijay as Joseph Kuruvilla is outstanding and grabs huge attention. Baby Nainika and Vijay’s relationship has been shown well and it attracts the audience.
Baby Nainika steals the show. Her dialogues are perfect and she gives the perfect emotions. Her voice modulations is the highlight and is top class.
Samantha as usual looks beautiful on screen and gives the right expressions. Amy Jackson as always mesmerizes the audience with her appearance. Both of them had a wonderful role to do and have delivered it well.
Mottai Rajendran adds tinge of comedy to this film and engages us with his appearance.
Prabhu and Radhika Sarathkumar has given a wonderful performance, though their appearance in this film is minimal they have done their best.
Veteran Mahendran has done Villainous role in the film and his performance is outstanding though there had been some deficient scenes in between.
Director Atlee : The screenplay is good. First half is interesting and engages us throughout with its interesting interval. But the second half deviates from first half and is draggy. Dialogues have been written well.
Cinematography by George C Williams : Simply brilliant and each and every scene looks outstanding and grabs huge attention.
Music by GV Prakash : The Bgm is engaging and goes in par with the film. Not much to say as the audio is already a chart-buster and has been placed right.
Editing by Anthony: It is neat and it could have been even better especially in the second half.
Verdict- A must watch film for the family audience and Vijay fans.
